| EuroSIMA
(European Surf Industry Manufacturers Association), a non-profit
organisation, was founded in 1999 with the initial mission
of representing the best interests of the European gliss industry
manufacturers.
The Association has four main missions :
The Industry Voice
One of the most important roles of EuroSIMA is to offer each
one of its members - regardless of size or net revenues -
an equal voice in their industry. EuroSIMA's job is to represent
the interests and promote the entire surf industry equally,
as a whole.
Events
EuroSIMA initiates
many federative events dedicated to the professionals of the
boardsports industry or to the general public.
Trade Shows
EuroSIMA guarantees the industry attendance at the best European
trade shows. It also participates in the overall concept of
these various manifestations, in order to guarantee a coherent
gliss industry environment.
ISPO Winter - Germany, Munich
ISPO Summer - Germany, Munich
Environmental Actions
EuroSIMA's Environmental Fund was created to serve
as the environmental arm of the European Surf Industry Manufacturers
Association. Such fund is used to promote ecological and environmental
organisations whose efforts are focused on enhancing the oceanic
and mountain environment.
EuroSIMA launched in
2004 the EuroSIMA Innovation Competition .
Composed of a jury of professionals, this competition awards
10,000 euros to innovative solutions to
an environmental problem (pollution, noxious wastes, recycling…)
generated by the activity of surfboards shaping.
To combine industrial
activity with environmental respect, such is the mission of
the program of environmental management
initiated by EuroSIMA within its company members and carried
out by Laurent Bories of the G-akt company.
