EuroSIMA created stickers with a large “NON” (“NO”) to
encourage the public to sign the petition against the EDF Project Salins des
Landes
Indeed, EDF is considering storing natural gas in
underground saline cavities in the Landes. This operation would require
bringing in salt water to wash out the cavities, the drilling residue of which
would be discharged at 1.5km off the coast for 10 to 12 years. Such a project
represents both an economic and an environmental disaster
We strongly encourage you to get more information, to
sign the petition and to proudly display the "NON" sticker to help
ensure that such a project will never come pollute our coasts
