The Director of Communications or Communications Manager offers a global communication strategy and supervises its implementation, coordination and evaluation, but also oversees coherence of internal as well as external messages. He/she defines and implements internal and external communication strategies. He/she fulfils this mission with the assistance of a team, which he/she is responsible for coordination and animating. His/her objective is to promote the company to the public, the press, clients and institutions…As the guardian of the company image, the “Dircom” (“Com” Director) must also put forward the company’s know how and the values it stands for. However, he/she can also be responsible, at the request of Management, for helping the image evolve, for example to communicate a change in activity.

Accès

Training and background in communications are recommended for this position. Business schools and university Masters programs are usually preferred for such positions.
