Marketing assistant

Nature

As the true right hand of the Marketing Director, the Marketing assistant acts more as a collaborator than a subordinate. His/her role and missions are quite similar to those of the Marketing Director. However, though he/she is not responsible for results he/she is responsible at times when the Marketing Director is absent or on his/her frequent business trips. Therefore, this assistant/manager tandem must be based on a tight and efficient relationship. The position involves developing and following advertising and commercial strategies for company products. Therefore he/she is involved in the choice of tools and channels to be used, but also in negotiations relative to advertising space. He/she must constantly be aware of any market changes or evolutions.

Mission

In cooperation with the marketing manager:
Coordinating creation of product catalogues and communication channels or tools (follow up of schedule evolutions and creation, updates, possible interaction with communication agencies, product descriptions…)
Creating communication tools and means and co-organising events with the events department.
Regulatory product updates (technical labels…)

Merchandising techniques and planning skills

Fluent English and at least one additional foreign language is required
