"I love the challenge, pushing my limits, having goals, reaching them, winning, losing... It pushes me to work and progress in my discipline." Alice Lemoigne, new SIC MAUI athlete
SIC Maui is proud to announce the addition of a new athlete to its team. A true waterwoman, Alice Le Moigne is looking forward to riding under the SIC Maui colors, both in surf and foil. Find out more about this World Longboard Champion.
"I'm super happy to be part of the family, to represent this brand that promotes great values in the surf industry. I do a lot of longboarding, but I also shortboard, wingfoil and kite. It's a great opportunity, it's going to be a chance to do some great things in surfing but also in wing or foil, because there's a great diversity of products. I'm looking forward to evolving with this brand and helping to develop other longboards and surfboards."
Longboarding for passion
Originally from Reunion Island, Alice surfs the world's best waves with grace and style.
"I love longboarding because it gives you incredible sensations. It's very graceful, it's like dancing on the board because you walk on it. It's really a sport I love. Competition has always been part of my life. I love the challenge, pushing my limits, having goals, reaching them, winning, losing: it's all part of the game and that's what I like about the sport. It pushes me to work and progress in my discipline."
Reunion as home
"Reunion Island is my little country! We've got great waves and beautiful places for wingfoil and kiteboarding. I love going there to recharge my batteries, especially after competitions that demand a lot of energy. Coming home, seeing my girlfriends, surfing perfect waves in warm water is really incredible!"
Victory in Abu Dhabi and 4th place in the world rankings to end the season
After her stunning victory in Abu Dhabi, Alice went on to the WSL World Championship final in El Salvador, which brought together the world's top 8 female surfers.
A year after her victory in the ISA final on the same spot, she set her sights on another world title. Here are her impressions a few days before the competition:
"I was world champion on this wave. It's really a perfect wave for longboarding, it's quite long, quite soft, quite hollow so you can really express yourself well. I just want to enjoy myself and finish off the season. It's just a bonus, but of course I'm going there to win the title.
Entering match 3, Alice fell to Honolua Bloomfield. A close match that went down to the last wave. 3rd in the world on the eve of the event, this defeat dropped her to 4th place. After another year among the world's elite, Alice is ready to take on new challenges next season, thanks to the support of SIC Maui. Goal 2025? The title, of course!
Congratulations Alice on your great results!
Renaud Lacoste, CEO SIC Maui
"I'm extremely proud to welcome Alice to the SIC Maui global athlete team. This marks another step towards the brand's development in surfing at the highest level. Alice surfs her longboard with a unique and committed style, and I'm sure she'll represent the SIC Ohana spirit perfectly on waves the world over. We're all with her in her quest for another world champion title!"
