EDERRAK, innovative and design surf rack Inspired by ocean, surf culture and, urban lifestyle. Made in Biarritz

 

Ederrak was born after a surf trip to Indonesia, where the omnipresence of plastic on beaches, in the water and along roads left a deep impression on me. A surfing enthusiast from an early age, I accumulated a quiver of boards, but no storage solution matched my expectations: practical, aesthetic and responsible.

My challenge? To showcase our boards while optimizing space, using local and renewable resources. Ederra, which means "beautiful" in Basque, and the plural "K", represents "beautiful racks" in our own way. The name embodies our desire to extend the history of boards and materials, while respecting the environment. The idea behind Ederrak is to create innovative storage solutions that combine design and durability.

LAUNCH OF CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN END 2024

At the end of 2024, Ederrak launched a crowdfunding campaign on Ulule to mobilize a community around our values. With local partners such as Nils (artist), Tamara (shaper) and Justine (athlete), we offered unique counterparties.

This success marked a turning point: we were approached by Decathlon, who wanted to integrate our products into their marketplace. This was a golden opportunity to expand our market. Thanks to this campaign, we were able to invest in the research and development of a product that met the expectations of Decathlon customers, while respecting their vision of "sport accessible to all". We have retained our core values: innovation, design, passion and respect for the environment.

The funds raised have enabled us to launch production of this new product made from new materials derived from wood dust, which will be available from 2025 on our website www.ederrak.com and via the Decathlon network.

 

TOMORROW'S EVOLUTION: TOWARDS INNOVATIVE MATERIALS

Ederrak doesn't stop there. We aim to expand our offering beyond surfing by developing solutions adapted to other sporting disciplines. We seek collaborations with committed designers, engineers and ambassadors to transform each idea into an iconic product, combining performance and aesthetics, while reducing the ecological footprint.

Ederrak's ambition is to become a benchmark brand in eco-responsible sports, creating inspiring, sustainable products for a new generation of passionate, conscious athletes.
