THE FRENCH SURFING FEDERATION AND ECOLOGIC SIGN A PARTNERSHIP FOR A MORE SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

This Friday, October 25 in Hossegor, the French Surfing Federation (FFSurf) signed a partnership agreement with ECOLOGICa key player in the recycling and recovery of used sports equipment. The agreement was formalized by Jean-Marc Saint-Geours, Delegate President in charge of the Societal Department, and Jacques Lajuncomme-Hirigoyen, President of the Fédération Française de Surf, alongside Vanessa Montagne, ECOLOGIC's New Sectors Director. This partnership reinforces the Surf industry's commitment to reducing its ecological footprint, by developing sustainable solutions to give sports equipment a second life.

As a government-recognized eco-organization, ECOLOGIC fulfills a mission of general interest. ECOLOGIC is responsible for developing the repair, reuse and recycling of sports and leisure equipment, by collecting and processing used sports equipment. Financed by eco-contributions paid by manufacturers, ECOLOGIC coordinates the recycling of equipment to minimize its environmental impact. Through this partnership with the Fédération Française de Surf (French Surfing Federation), equipment such as wetsuits, boards and fins will be collected and recycled to encourage board sports enthusiasts to adopt more eco-responsible practices.

"Together with local authorities and other partner federations, we're building a collection network close to where people practice, to raise awareness among as many people as possible," says FFSurf. declares the FFSurf. Partners involved in this project include the Fédération Française de Triathlon, the Fédération Française d'Études et Sports Sous-Marins, the Fédération Française de Voile, as well as the Fédération française de la montagne et de l'escalade, and other players in the nautical world.

As part of this campaign, it will be possible to drop off used sports equipment at over 240 active collection points across France, enabling it to be reused or recycled. "This initiative, which will run until mid-November, offers everyone the opportunity to be an agent of change by contributing to the preservation of our environment.emphasizes the FFSurf.

Surf clubs, surf schools and surfers are invited to take an active part by dropping off their old equipment at dedicated collection points.
