A WEEKEND OF STOKE, CULTURE AND COMMUNITY IN NEWQUAY

 

Newquay, Cornwall - September 12-14, 2025

The countdown is on. From September 12th to 14th, 2025, Newquay, Cornwall will host the first edition of the UK Surf & Skate Expo. An all-out celebration of surf and skate culture in Britain.

This is the first event of its kind in nearly two decades, bringing together the entire UK surf and skate community for three packed days of competitions, brand activations, workshops and cultural highlights. With multiple exhibitors and big names already confirmed, this inaugural edition promises to be a turning point for boardsports in the UK.

"The aim of the expo is to bring everyone together for one big weekend", said expo organiser Chris Thomson.

"There's so much going on in the British surf and skate scenes, and they're both growing at a rapid pace. Now, we've got a few more exciting events to announce and keep your eyes out for more in the future."

 

ON THE AGENDA: SURF, SKATE, STORIES AND CONNECTIONS

Surfing England have confirmed that their Junior Surf Series will take place at Fistral Beach as part of the expo. An opportunity to see the UK's greatest under 18 surfers in action.

All day on Saturday and Sunday, September 13th-14th, there will be a Vintage Surf & Skate - Meet & Swap event too. Collectors, enthusiasts and fans can discover, sell, swap or admire vintage boards. A chance to connect with like-minded people.

Also, the 80s-inspired Ride or Die skateboard bowl contest is booked in for Saturday evening. An opportunity to see local rippers shred on skateboards from that era.

Saltrock will be running a number of free breath work workshops by big wave surfer Andrew "Cotty" Cotton, and Ticket To Ride will be providing a presentation at The School Of Surf & Skate about careers in the surfing industry.

 

 

INDUSTRY MEETS IMPACT: WELCOME TO BRANDLAB

Brandwave is launching BrandLAB, an innovative sports marketing and networking experience. Joined by VIP guest mentors from leading international brands, these sessions will provide attendees with practical insights from brands, organisations and athletes focused on making a real impact and shaping a more responsible future for boardsports.

 

EXPO VILLAGE: WHO'S IN

The Expo Village will host a dynamic lineup of exhibitors already preparing exclusive activations and experiences.
On board: Finisterre, Ticket To Ride, TR7 Skate, FCS, 10 Over Surf Shop, Vissla, Surfers Against Sewage, Capsule Skateboards, Union Of Surf, Saltrock, and Xtratuff with more to come.

Free areas include exhibitor booths and the skate park. Workshops, talks and special events require an All Access Pass.

UK SURFER AWARDS 2025: CELEBRATING HOMEGROWN TALENT

The Wavelength UK Surfer Awards are now live, with over 1,000 votes already submitted. Open to the public, the awards shine a light on the riders shaping the future of British surfing. The results will be announced during a special ceremony held Friday night at the Expo.
