After testing 3/2s earlier this year, we're back this season between Anglet and the Landes to test 4/3s all year round, in water at 16°C during filming.
As winter sets in, we add a few millimeters of neoprene for added warmth. This year, Ana Morau and former professional surfer Romain Laulhé, who evaluated several products. From the first impression to the fitting and, of course, the surfing session, they detail their impressions and present the latest products from Orca, Hurley, Quiksilver, Madness, Oxbow, Rip Curl and Roxy.

3 TEST LEVELS AND SEVERAL ASPECTS ANALYZED
Wetsuits are evaluated at several levels: handling, fitting, water test. Each level is then rated out of 5 (maximum score) to determine an overall score for each wetsuit. Ana and Romain base their ratings on their impressions of warmth,elasticity, comfort, materials,aesthetics andeco-design. We hope this will make your choice easier!
Our tests also report on the suit's absorption rate , and mention each brand's commitment to sustainability.
ABSORPTION RATE, DEFINITION
The absorption rate determines the ratio between the dry and wet suit. To calculate it, each suit is weighed before and after total immersion in water (of the same duration). A high value represents high absorption, which in turn influences the total weight of the product once it has been immersed in water.
