EUROSIMA shows its commitment to the environment and encourages Action Sports brands to switch to digital catalogs
EUROSIMA encourages all Action Sports companies to give up printed catalogs, which are overall too expensive and unsustainable, and switch over to digital catalogs.
This initiative is embodied by new partnership signed last April between the European Action Sports Manufacturers Association and the e-business BtoB platform Elastic Suite.
"As an industry, it is our responsibility to take action towards implementing an environmental transition," declared Jean-Louis Rodrigues, EUROSIMA President. "We have to set an example and it is as a collective entity that we will reach these goals. We wanted to provide a paper-free alternative to printed catalogs, so quite naturally we sought out Elastic Suite, which has been working with our American sister association SIMA for quite some time. The efficiency and leadership of this B2B e-business solution has been demonstrated many times over."
Elastic's next-generation digital merchandising and wholesale purchasing technology can indeed help surf industry manufacturers implement a more sustainable commercial sales process while achieving efficiency-driven cost savings and incremental sales growth.
"Our partnership with EUROSIMA creates an exclusive opportunity for surf industry manufacturers in the EU to access the latest and most innovative B2B e-business technology," said Johan Westerholm, General Manager Europe, Elastic Suite. "We look forward to helping these brands and their retail partners develop a more strategic, streamlined and sustainable approach to wholesale merchandising while ultimately creating greater profitability and value for their consumers."
Sustainability and cost savings come through streamlined order entry, digital catalogs, resource optimization and inventory management. Increased sales revenues come through brand-specific retailer applications, sales rep tools, strategic sales planning, digital merchandising, product customization and assortment planning tools.
"Elastic has been a great evolution from the previous tool we used at Volcom," said Joost Grootswaggers, Volcom Europe CEO and EUROSIMA Vice-president. "It helped us to further optimize our ordering online and notably boosting our B2B sales. We have seen a double digit growth on re-order business done directly on Elastic by our customers. The key advantage of Elastic is that it is widely accepted by our customers and number 1 in ease of use."
Indeed, in order to ensure a smooth and high quality transition to digital options, the Elastic team provides technological assistance for brands and retailers when setting up and using the platform.
This partnership will allow EUROSIMA members to be more sustainable while increasing performance. Members will have access to an exclusive offer, partner rates based on company turnover as well as to assistance with digitalizing catalogs.
