EUROSIMA TERRITORIAL HUB: HEADING FOR THE SOUTHEAST

EUROSIMA CONTINUES ITS TERRITORIAL DEVELOPMENT CAMPAIGN IN THE SOUTHEAST OF FRANCE

After a successful visit to France's Atlantic coast, as part of the Territorial Development with EuroSIMA campaign, EuroSIMA is continuing its local work, this time in the South-East. This initiative, essential for strengthening local ties and meeting the specific needs of industry players, led Jean Louis RODRIGUES, EuroSIMA President, and Aude PENOUTY, CSR Manager, to Hyères, a dynamic and promising area for our Action Sports industry.

A STRATEGIC ZONE AND A CO-ORGANIZED MOVE

The choice of this region is not insignificant. As Flora Artzner Flora Artznerthe meeting's co-organizer, "no local structure offers support similar to that provided by EuroSIMA, and local companies are very demanding. The objective was therefore clear: to initiate a direct dialogue with local players to better understand their challenges and present EuroSIMA's services to them. The event, held at the Welcome surf shop, enabled warm and constructive contact to be established with several local companies.

FIVE KEY AREAS TO MEET LOCAL NEEDS

Jean Louis Rodrigues, President of EuroSIMA, summed up the importance of the trip :

"EuroSIMA took the initiative of coming to meet with players (brands, shops) in order to understand the realities of our Action Sports sector in the South-East and explain EuroSIMA's missions and strategies. It was a very rewarding meeting, with an important point of reflection: there is a real need for a structure like ours to support all these entities in this beautiful region. Special thanks to Flora and Ingrid for their organization and warm welcome at the Welcome Café.

The discussions highlighted five areas where EuroSIMA can provide valuable support:

    1. Support for startups: structuring projects and seeking financing.

    2. Membership extensions: of interest to OSV, FESI and USC.

    3. Training: HR, CSR, eco-design and digital themes.

    4. Regulations: Support for CSRD (Corporate Social Responsibility Directive) and EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility)

    5. Ecosystem: creating key networks and contacts.

PARTICIPANT TESTIMONIAL

Eric Collard, manager of GlissAttitudeemphasized several key points:

"My participation in the EuroSIMA meeting was guided by several objectives. To share the problems of adapting production to the market encountered by many board and wind suppliers; to promote ethics and a more responsible attitude to the environmental signature of our sports; to bring together market players around a project to develop a digital standard for exchanging product data; and finally, to create a group of board and wind retailers to carry a stronger voice with brands, suppliers and even institutional bodies."

This move confirms EuroSIMA's commitment to supporting and structuring the development of Action Sports in key regions, both in France and internationally.
