Under the patronage of the Ministry of Sports and the Ministry of Ecological Transition,UNION sport & cycle brings together a jury every two years composed of representatives from scientific and environmental institutions, as well as representatives from NGOs, experts, and recognized figures to award the ECOSPORT AWARDS.
This prestigious award recognizes and promotes companies and organizations in the sports and active mobility sector that innovate by integrating the environment and sustainable development into their activities, products, and services. The ECOSPORT AWARDS are open to all companies, associations, or local authorities operating in the sports and active mobility sector (manufacturing, distribution, or services) with at least one establishment based in France.
Through the ECOSPORT AWARDS, leading representatives from the sports and active mobility sector aim to encourage, promote, and reward the most deserving initiatives, achievements, and actions in the field of environmental protection.

5 AWARDS PRESENTED, 4 DIFFERENT THEMES
- The prize for facilities and venues: Environmental innovation dedicated to venues and spaces open to the public (e.g., stores, warehouses, etc.) or practitioners (e.g., sports halls, sports fields and courts, etc.). Promoting a healthy environment without compromising performance: this award is aimed at stakeholders who operate or market sports facilities and/or equipment and/or buildings designed to have the lowest possible environmental impact.
- The Eco-Design Award – Sustainability and use of carbon-neutral materials: The Eco-Design Award recognizes products whose performance and information requirements, including the processes implemented throughout their value chain, aim to make them more environmentally sustainable.
- The Circular Economy Award – Sustainable implementation of solutions for collection, reuse, repair, recycling, etc.: The Circular Economy Award recognizes initiatives that promote better management of end-of-life products, whether through repair or reuse, optimization of collection, reuse, or recycling.
- The Responsible Actor and Sustainable Commitment Award: This award is open to both civil society actors and private companies. It recognizes engaging and exemplary action in the "sports, leisure, and active mobility" ecosystem aimed at bringing about lasting change in individual and/or collective behavior (e.g., foundations, non-financial reporting, etc.).
- The ECOSPORT Special Jury Prize: The Special Jury Prize rewards the company that, through its boldness, ingenuity, and originality, has provided a sustainable response to the new environmental challenges facing the sports and active mobility sector.

- The special jury prize was awarded to the young French eco-friendly brand NOLT.


HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
- Eligibility: The ECOSPORT AWARDS are open to all companies and organizations operating in the sports sector (manufacturing, distribution, or services). Companies and organizations must have at least one business based in France. To be eligible, achievements must be available (still on the market in the case of a product), operational (in the case of a building, event, or other) and verifiable. The same company may submit entries in one or more award categories in the same year.
- Application form: Simply submit your project, initiative, or achievement by completing the application form available opposite. Applications should preferably be sent by email to:contact@ecosport-awards.com
- Closing date: The deadline for submitting applications is May 16, 2025.
- Announcement of winners: At the USC Annual Conference in Bordeaux on June 19 and 20.
