Biodiversity & its challenges:

Preserving biodiversity is a key strategic and legal lever for textile and fashion companies. Already included in the Climate and Resilience Act, the introduction of the decree on voluntary environmental labeling of textile products, effective October 1, 2025, requires transparency on environmental impacts, including pressure on biodiversity and ecosystems.

From now on, all clothing sold in France must be accompanied by an "environmental cost" assessment measuring, among other things, damage to water, soil, natural resources, and pollution (microplastics, chemicals), which are directly linked to biodiversity. Sources: Decree of September 6, 2025, Climate and Resilience Law, Ministry of Ecological Transition, ADEME.

Furthermore, for those concerned, at the European level, non-financial reports require the collection and analysis of data related to biodiversity preservation. For HR and CSR departments, these legal requirements also represent opportunities: anticipating future obligations, strengthening the employer brand, meeting the growing expectations of employees, attracting talent sensitive to these issues, and co-constructing a business plan aligned with the values of sustainable development.

Under the theme "Biodiversity, challenges & opportunities for brands," this event is particularly aimed at fashion and sports industry brands, DD departments, CSR, change management,

Workshop description:

On Thursday, February 26, 2026, we will host a special half-day workshop dedicated to biodiversity at our premises in Anglet. It is organized by Eurosima, Union Sport & Cycle Nouvelle Aquitaine, Pando, and Extend Business Consulting.

Under the theme "Biodiversity, challenges & opportunities for brands," the speaker will present the various challenges related to biodiversity in the fashion and textile industry. The aim of this workshop is to encourage reflection on how to engage stakeholders in biodiversity. The workshop is based on the Appreciative Inquiry method.

This method is based on a positive approach to organization and on identifying what works well, what ensures its success, and what brings it to life.

  • Appreciative: to value, to love, to cherish...
  • Inquiry: explore, research, discover

It is an approach, a process that allows us to explore, through dialogue, the strengths of a system in order to enable it to consolidate and build its future.
