Job description

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Purchasing and Supply Assistant works in support of the Purchasing team, facilitating the various stages of the purchasing process.

  • Administrative preparation of purchases
    • Produce dashboards for the Purchasing Manager and/or the Purchasing Department.
    • Check product bills of materials.
    • Create orders for subcontractors, applying purchasing circuit procedures.
    • Generate order and bill of materials files. Submit preparation lists to warehouse and update.
  • Inventory management
    • Enter subcontractors' annual inventories, analyze and deploy the dormant stock action plan.
  • Supplier follow-up
    • Set up and update supplier and product databases.
    • Support the Buyer in dealings with material suppliers and subcontractors.
    • Report material and component non-conformities to suppliers and monitor disputes.
  • Administrative management of purchasing
    • Monitor and calculate necessary purchasing volumes, according to changes in inventory levels.
    • Enter tariffs.
    • Participate in weekly Purchasing/Production meetings.
    • Administrative and logistical follow-up of purchases
    • Analyze purchasing performance trends and translate indicators into purchasing language.
    • Monitor purchasing schedules. Monitor the smooth running of logistics processes and changes in flows/stocks.
    • Close purchases at the end of the season.

Profile required

  • Technical skills
    • Good knowledge of purchasing methodologies and all stages of a purchasing process.
    • Good command of IT tools: dashboards, supplier database.
    • Fluency in English.
    • Good knowledge of how the company operates and how to communicate with business departments.
