Three webinars on textiles and footwear: from waste to recycling, are scheduled for February and March 2026. The eco-organization Refashion and the European Network of Textile Research and Innovation Professionals are joining forces to offer a webinar program on the latest news in eco-design, EPR, and European circular issues.

ECOLOGIC CALLS FOR PROJECTS
For the first quarter of 2026, Ecologic is offering two calls for proposals.
Return Match Reuse
The " Match retour! " call for projects aims to massively increase the reuse of sports and leisure items (ASL). The goal is to generate an additional 2,000 tons of reused items to facilitate opportunities for the EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) sector. The objective is to industrialize or structure existing initiatives by generating an additional 2,000 tons of reused items and avoiding the same amount of waste.
➡️ Applications accepted until March 13, 2026
➡️ Up to €200,000 including tax, depending on the project
ASL plastic recycling
Ecologic, the eco-organization in charge of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for Sports & Leisure Accessories (SLA), is launching a Call for Projects dedicated to scaling up recycling systems for plastic SLAs. This call for projects is open only to recycling operators and waste management companies that have an ICPE 2791 authorization or declaration in mainland France.
➡️ From €500,000 to €2 million in Capex investments over 6 years
➡️ Target industry: recycling operators
➡️ Launch on February 15, 2026
➡️ Selection of winners on June 30, 2026.

Approach:
The first step is to verify that the company is indeed a "producer" within the meaning of the ASL sector (manufacturer, importer, introducer, or assembler placing ASLs on the French market) and to understand the obligations arising from the Environment Code (Articles L.541-10-8 and R.541-158 to R.541-164).

CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST XTREME CHALLENGE
Last chance to participate in the AMI Xtreme Defi textile Responsable (Responsible Textile Challenge). This is ADEME's multi-year program that supports innovative projects and studies for a more sustainable French textile industry that is rooted in local communities. Phase one of the application process will close on February 27, 2026. This phase aims to identify the key players, limitations, and priority opportunities. The projects submitted must address the need to reduce waste in the textile industry and extend the lifespan of textile items.
Whether in the stages of production or distribution, including creation, training, education, communication, repair, reuse, use, and post-use. The entities concerned are companies (very small businesses, SMEs, mid-cap companies, large groups), marketers, social economy actors, local authorities, associations, NGOs, research centers, universities, federations, and professional unions. Among other things, this involves financial participation in the development of innovative experimental projects and participation in thematic working groups and support sessions to structure and finalize projects.
