Sauveteur-aquatique.fr: a new service for aquatic lifeguards seeking training or employment.

 

The Sauveteur-aquatique. fr website went live on February 24, 2023 . The result of a meeting between professional lifeguards from the Atlantic coast, it aims to contribute to the attractiveness of this profession and to respond to the issues oforientation, training and recruitment of lifeguards in the ocean, lakes and pools.

Facilitating access to training and employment

Employers' recruitment difficulties, lack of knowledge about the profession and the training required, ... the rescue sector needs to inform people about its training courses and job opportunities.

The first of its kind in France, the sauveteur-aquatique.fr website providesguidance, information and contacts for all those involved in the professional aquatic rescue industry.

 

The sauveteur-aquatique.fr platform enables :

• employers - coastal local authorities and tourism operators - to facilitate recruitment of lifeguards,
• rescuers or future rescuers, to find out about existing training courses for the profession, to consult or receive job offers, and to find outquality information about the natural environment and the professional environment,
• training organizations to promote their training courses and initiatives.

More broadly, the site helps to make the profession more attractive.

 

 

The first partners, local authorities and training organizations

From 2023, all local authorities on the Gironde coast recruiting lifeguards via SIVU33 (SOULAC, GRAYAN et l'HÔPITAL, VENDAYS-MONTALIVET, NAUJAC, HOURTIN, CARCANS, LACANAU, LE PORGE, LÈGE CAP-FERRET, LA TESTE DE BUCH), as well as lifeguard training associations, will support this initiative and benefit from this online service.
