Over to the surfers!

Surfing is evolving. So is the way it is practiced.

A lot has changed in recent years: the post-COVID boom, new practitioners, evolving equipment, the rise of digital technology, new expectations in terms of environmental commitment, etc.

Today, we need to better understand who you are, how you surf, and how you experience surfing. That's why we're launching SURF PANORAMA 2026, a major national survey dedicated to French surfers.

A 10-minute questionnaire to understand your surfing habits

In 10-15 minutes, you can help us better understand:

  • how you practice (frequency, spots, trips, etc.)
  • how you equip yourself
  • where you buy your equipment
  • your relationship with brands
  • your commitment to the environment
  • your view of surfing today

The goal? To get a clear and up-to-date picture of the surfing community in France. Because surfing is a culture, an economy, territories, businesses, schools, and events.

A survey conducted by key players in surfing and sports

This survey is being conducted jointly by EuroSIMA, Union des Entreprises Sport & Cycle, the French Surfing Federation, and Surf Session.

It is no coincidence that these players are coming together today. Surfing is a sport, a culture, an industry, and an economic driver for many regions. To understand how it is evolving, we need to consider the perspectives of surfers, brands, sports institutions, and specialized media outlets.

The goal is simple: to produce a solid, useful, and representative study that will provide a better understanding of your expectations and intelligently support the development of surfing in France. The more responses we receive, the more accurate the picture will be of the reality of the line-up.
