Carlos BURLE
Big wave surfer

Born in Recife, Pernambuco, Brasil and growing up in Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Burle has always had an intimate relationship with water and its movements. As a teenager, while all the other kids dreamed of becoming Pele, the soccer champion, Carlos preferred to go swimming, which is how he discovered his calling for surfing.

Born in Recife, Pernambuco, Brasil and growing up in Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Burle has always had an intimate relationship with water and its movements. As a teenager, while all the other kids dreamed of becoming Pele, the soccer champion, Carlos preferred to go swimming, which is how he discovered his calling for surfing. Later, Carlos was key in creating and professionalizing tow-in surfing, a new type of surfing in which the surfer is towed by a jet ski to be able to get the necessary speed to ride huge waves that would otherwise be impossible to paddle into. In addition to his career as a big-wave surfer, Carlos Burle is also a free surfer who travels the world to compete in big-wave surfing contests and produce contents for his Youtube channel.

Today, at 48, Carlos has a number major titles under his belt. Back in 1998, he won the very first Big Wave Championship in Todos Santos, Mexico. In 2001, he rode a 70 foot wave at Mavericks, the biggest wave that had ever been surfed in the world, an incredible record at the time and for which he won a Billabong XXL Award. The ride even landed him in the Guinness Book of World Records. With Eraldo Gueiros, he is the only Brazilian to ever have surfed waves in high seas, at Cortes Bank, 100 miles off the coast of San Diego. He is also the only Brazilian to have competed in the Eddie Aikau event, a prestigious big wave surfing event that is held at Waimea Bay on O'ahu, Hawaii and to which only the most respected 24 big wave surfers in the world are invited. In 2009/2010 he won his second WSL/BWT Big Wave Tour title and in October 2013, Carlos Burle surfed the biggest wave of his life in Nazaré (Portugal) towed by co-rider Pedro Scooby, riding a giant 30 meter (100 feet) wave, according to experts from the Oceanography Department of the Coimbra University in Portugal.

Though she has won numerous French and European titles in both surfing and long boarding, Justine Dupont is above all someone who is passionate about nature and the ocean. In 2013, she became the woman to have surfed the largest wave in the world dominating a 15 meter monster at the famous French spot of Belharra.

Justine lives in Seignosse in the Landes. Though she has won numerous French and European titles in both surfing and long boarding, Justine Dupont is above all someone who is passionate about nature and the ocean. At 25, she loves adventure and challenges. In 2013, she became the woman to have surfed the largest wave in the world dominating a 15 meter monster at the famous French spot of Belharra.

In 2016, she became Vice World Champion of Big Wave riding at Jaws in Hawaii. This year, at Nazaré in Portugal, Justine beat her own record of the biggest wave ever surfed by a woman.

With a soaring career and colorful personality, the young woman is a magnet for the media.

Today, Edouard is a consultant in commitment based management sharing experience and assistance with other companies.

If you had to give him a title, you could say that Edouard Frignet is the Marketing Manager France, Sales Manager France and Outdoor Manager Europe with W. L. GORE.

However, at W. L. GORE, there are no titles, only commitments. Edouard joined W. L. GORE France when the office was opened in 1979 and led the launching of GORE-TEX® fabrics in France. The enormous challenge was to create demand for a product in a market that had never heard of it before. The GORE-TEX® Ingredient Brand was a precursor to B to C marketing in the 1980s in France. Once demand had been created among and by consumers, the brand formed a strong bond with its partner clients, and the B to B relationship was born. Edouard Frignet wrote the introduction to Philippe Malaval's B to B Branding, summarizing the incredible marketing adventure.

Alexandre MULLIEZ
Innovation and Marketing Director at Auchan:Direct

At 30 years old, Alexandre Mulliez is already a serial entrepreneur. For the past 3 years, this hyperactive personality has taken on the position of Innovation and Marketing Director of Auchan:Direct, the e-business division of the company founded by his grand-father where he has led nothing short of a management revolution based on freedom and commitment for all.

At 30 years old, Alexandre Mulliez is already a serial entrepreneur. He started by launching his first start-up Hartô, a contemporary furniture editor, while he was working on his Master's Degree at EMLyon. Two years later, he founded Ores, an advertising agency based in Lille, Shanghai and New York. After that, he created Koober, an application that publishes book summaries. Along side all this, in 2011, he joined the Auchan E-commerce board of administration where he remained until 2014. Then, he took on operational responsibilities becoming Innovation and Marketing Director for Auchan:Direct in the company founded by his grandfather. He assigned himself the mission of implementing in the traditional family business the key principles that led the most successful companies around the world to enter and thrive in the digital era. Since January 2016, Alexandre has also become a member of the surveillance board at Auchan Retail France as well as an administrator at Artsper, an online art sales platform.

With an engineering degree and a PhD in Management Science from the prestigious École des Mines ParisTech, Frédéric Arnoux is the co-founder of Stim, a start-up that provides assistance and training to companies in the field of rupture innovation based on the C-K theory and used by some of the most prestigious companies around the world.

With an engineering degree and a PhD in Management Science from the prestigious École des Mines ParisTech, Frédéric Arnoux is the co-founder of Stim, a start up that provides assistance and training to companies in the field of rupture innovation based on the C-K method. With his clients, Frédéric has worked on a variety of innovative projects such as the autonomous cars (Valeo), door to door services (RATP) or electric systems of Smart city (Schneider Electric).

Before founding Stim, Frédéric completed his thesis at SAFRAN Turbomeca, focusing on innovation activities within companies. In that position, he namely contributed to the success of a project to drastically reduce consumption in helicopter engines. He also published several scientific articles on radical innovation as well as two books on innovation management using the C-K theory.

Today he is actively involved in various innovation and entrepreneurial communities (Thirdplace, Sandbox, les 100Barbares). He spends his time between Paris and Biarritz to live out his two passions: entrepreneurship and surfing.

Vincent Delourmel discovered the art of magic at 15 years old. He soon found a passion in the world of exceptional memory, which he began to study. Today, he works with executives to teach them solutions on how to better memorize information or even have an impact on the memory of others.

Vincent Delourmel lives in Rennes, Brittany and since 2004 has developed a business in the field of memory and illusion. He discovered magic in 1989 at the age of 15. 2 years later, he created his own first show with his best friend. In their show, he presented mentalist tricks, also known as psychological illusion: mind reading, predictions... That is when he discovered the world of exceptional memory, which he began studying.

In 1999, he studied Education in Rennes. In 2003, he finished writing his first book: "The 10 Secrets of Your Memory" , which he, which he self-published. From 2005 to 2009, he taught Mnemonics at the Business School in Rennes. Today, he mostly works with executives and managers in France and abroad, either online or directly in companies. Each year, he trains over 1000 people in the art of memory.

He is regularly called upon to work with the press and TV shows such as "C'est pas sorcier", "E=M6" or "Le Magazine de la Santé" (health, science and educational shows).
