  Depuis 2021, Town & Country Surf Designs, marque mythique née à Hawaï en 1971, connaît un nouvel essor en Europe. Sous l’impulsion de Wilco Prins, ce relancement est bien plus qu’un simple retour : c’est une réinvention qui conjugue tradition et modernité.

 

Dans une interview réalisée dans le cadre de la campagne EuroSIMA Family, Wilco Prins et Adam Borrello, figure clé de T&C à Hawaï, revient sur cette aventure. Ils partagent leurs impressions sur le marché européen et les opportunités qui s’offrent à une marque emblématique comme T&C.

 

UN HÉRITAGE SURF HISTORIQUE

Avec plus de 50 ans d’histoire, Town & Country reste un symbole de l’authenticité hawaïenne. Comme le souligne Adam Borrello : « Le cœur de notre ADN, c’est le surf. » Cette philosophie se reflète dans leurs produits phares, notamment les planches de surf, qui demeurent au centre de leur offre.

 

 

UNE STRATÉGIE ADAPTEE AU MARCHE EUROPEEN

Depuis son relancement, T&C Europe mise sur un équilibre entre points de vente spécialisés, magasins phares, et une plateforme digitale robuste. « Nous voulons être présents dans des boutiques clés tout en développant notre présence en ligne pour toucher ceux qui vivent loin des côtes, » explique Wilco Prins.

 

 

UN TEAM RIDER AU TOP

La marque s’appuie également sur une équipe d’ambassadeurs locaux et internationaux. Comme le décrit Wilco Prins : « À Hawaï, nous avons une incroyable team rider avec des surfeurs comme Billy Kemper et Zeke Lau… En Europe, nous essayons de trouver des surfeurs qui ont une histoire à raconter. Par exemple, Pierrot Gagliano, qui a remporté les ISA World Para Surfing Championship. »

 

 

UN REGARD TOURNÉ VERS L’AVENIR

Malgré les défis actuels du marché, Wilco Prins et Adam Borrello affichent un optimisme contagieux : « Il y a une véritable place pour une marque avec une histoire authentique dans le marché d’aujourd’hui, » affirme Wilco.

Since its relaunch, T&C Europe has focused on balancing specialized retail accounts, flagship stores, and a robust digital platform. « We want to be present in key stores while developing our online presence to reach those who live far from the coasts, » explains Wilco Prins.

The brand also relies on a team of local and international ambassadors. As Wilco Prins describes it:
