A sports journalist is responsible for communicating sports information through various media channels. In the field of board sports, journalists tend to frequently be photographers as well. They communicate competition results but also produce reports on travels, countries visited and the cultures they encounter. A real “globe-trotter”, the board sports journalist is a solitary traveller, with a unique and creative writing style.

Accès

Sports journalists must first prove themselves as traditional journalists, before specializing and being able to access such positions. They must have solid knowledge of sports and posses excellent general culture, as well as an ability to adapt to all situations. Journalism schools are recommended but not mandatory.
