Nature

An independent salesperson, the commercial agent is responsible for commercialising products of the various companies he/she has been contracted for. He/she is therefore not a commercial representative for one brand, but an independent salesperson who works for several brands, which sometimes compete amongst themselves. His/her responsibilities require constant travel to be able to prospect new clients. Income is based on a basic fixed salary complemented by commissions for each successful sale.

Accès

A commercial agent must possess strong commercial skills. Short term trainings offer technical sales skills background as well as basics in commercialisation and negotiations. However, it is the individual’s personality, which is truly the most important criteria.
