After conferring with the sales manager and store manger, the purchasing manager determines which articles will sell best (and which quantities can be sold). To determine these needs, the purchasing manager also bases his/her opinion on board sports markets analyses. The role also implies the identification of products, which will sell best. Intuitive, the purchasing manger must also have an acute sense of analysis, trends and fashion as well as experience and practice in the “3 S” sports.

Accès

Business schools offer appropriate training and preparation for this type of profile. Nevertheless, extensive experience in board sports is required for this position. Additional training and background in logistics and production are also helpful for this position.
