Shipping Team Leader

Nature

The shipping team leader is responsible for managing and controlling the preparation and shipping of goods. He/she is also responsible for recruiting and training his/her team to whom he/she will delegate operations. In permanent contact with the warehouse manager, he/she ensures coordination between his/her team and the management.

Mission

Transmission of order preparation directives
Coordination of loading operations in the collection area according to the arrival of prepared orders and recipients
Relationship with transport service providers
Implementation of loading operations
Transfer of operations at the departure of the goods to trigger the invoicing process
Management, control of departures
Permanent reports to the logistics manager
Management of performance indicators

Skills

Knowledge/Savoir-faire
Good knowledge of supply chain operations, safety standards, labor law and labor relations
Mastery of the transport environment: language, codes, methods, procedures, standards and current regulations
Ability to draw up and monitor a dispatch schedule or scheduling file, anticipating needs
Ability to design and optimize a distribution network
Mastery of specialized technical or office automation tools
Ability to manage and lead a team

Access

Training in logistics (minimum level BAC+2) is the most suitable, however a significant experience in logistics is necessary.
