Outdoor Sports Valley (OSV) is first and foremost a network, a community of business leaders, outdoor industry employees, experts, decision-makers and outdoor enthusiasts, collectively committed to an attractive employer brand and sustainable economic growth.Today, the strength of the OSV collective lies ina network of over 500 members, representing more than 500 brands and 8,000 employees. OSV acts as anindustry gas pedal, guiding companies towards the integration of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and facilitating synergies for sustainable solutions.

Missions

Reporting to the Marketing Department, you will be responsible for leading and implementing the association's events strategy. As part of a team of 14 employees, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Manage the content strategy for major OSV Explore events and their operational implementation. (3 times a year - March/June/October - 200 to 400 pax)
    • Build and implement an annual event strategy consistent with the challenges facing the outdoor sports industry and OSV actions for these 3 OSV highlights.
    • Create inspiring content/programs providing concrete solutions to the challenges faced by companies in the industry. (Themes and content with high added value for OSV members).
    • Manage budgets, event concepts, entertainment, proceedings, speakers (sourcing and contact), venues, reverse engineering, partner requirements, logistics/technical aspects, team schedules, adherence to timetables, etc.
    • Manage the search for and monitoring of service providers and partners in compliance with the Responsible Service Provider Charter.
    • Rely on the OSV team and OSV expertise/network to build these events, solicit speakers and manage workshops.
    • Work with the OSV Communication Manager to develop promotional/communication tools for international development initiatives.

 

  • Provide event design and logistics support for OSV partner trade shows (currently ISPO, Outdoor by ISPO, Sport-Achat) with the Business and International Development Manager:
    • Co-construct and implement the "French Village" concept (part: entertainment/bar, team planning) at the ISPO and Outdoor by ISPO trade shows.
    • Co-construct the strategic presence and organization of the Sport-Achat trade show and draw up the partnership agreement.
    • Manage budgets, service providers and the team, inherent to the various missions on these events.
    • In liaison with the project team and the Communications Project Manager, ensure good visibility and publicity for events.
    • Adapt your missions and your vision of events to changes in trade shows and partnerships.

 

  • Leading and supporting OSV's speaking strategy/presence at strategic and partner events (Outdoor Experts Forum, Les Sommets, Change Now, Surf Summit etc.):
    •  Co-define an annual OSV speaking schedule at strategic partner events.
    • Support project managers and stakeholders to ensure the success of their interventions.
    • Deploy logistical and technical resources as required.
    • Draft event partnership agreements in conjunction with the Project Manager and, if necessary, the Communications Project Manager.

 

  • Provide logistical support to OSV project managers for their events, when necessary and in agreement with the Marketing Department. (Internship Forum, OSV Academy Alumni Evening, Bootcamp ...)

     

  • Participate in the life of the OSV association:
    • Take part in the association's strategic thinking.
    • Participate in the implementation of the Bilan Carbone and actions to reduce the association's GHG impact.
    • Take part in team discussions and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
    • Set up working group(s) with experts/members on key event topics if necessary.
    • Managing the administrator relationship: organizing work sessions, reporting on actions included in the roadmap, challenging and developing missions.

Profile required

  • BAC+5 education and first similar experience
  • A keen interest in events, teamwork and outdoor sports market trends
  • Aptitude for communication and marketing
  • Creative, energetic, self-motivated, enjoy working with others
  • Mastery of event content construction and stakeholder management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical mind, versatility, resourcefulness, responsiveness
  • Proactive, initiative, respect for deadlines
  • Organization and thoroughness in professional tasks
  • Ability to manage busy periods without giving in to pressure
  • Good writing skills, good spelling, knowledge of office and IT tools
  • Fluency in English (international context)
  • Involvement in strategic thinking and major responsibilities in the life of the association.
