Sports trainer

Description

The sports trainer (coach) is the specialist teacher of the discipline for a rider or team. Working in partnership with the physical trainer, he or she draws up a work program, often on an annual basis, to enhance the athlete's performance, prepare him or her and prevent injury. His or her working methods vary according to the athlete in his or her charge, and also to the areas of work he or she is developing: strength, stamina, flexibility, speed, etc.

His working methods vary according to the athlete in his care, and also the areas he is developing: strength, stamina, flexibility, speed, etc. He integrates all the components of the athlete's life (sporting and academic performance requirements, professional/personal life, relations with the school/athletic environment, etc.).
