Description

The surf instructor is in charge of teaching surfing to beginners and advanced surfers. The audiences are diverse: from children's groups, to private adult lessons, to club training, the instructor must know how to adapt his or her teaching methods according to the levels and expectations of each person.

Access

The surfing instructor must have the Brevet d'Etat d'Educateur Sportif (BEES) 1st degree, surfing option, to teach. The 2nd degree is necessary to be a Departmental or Regional Technical Advisor, the 3rd degree to be a national coach. At the federal level, the French Surfing Federation offers diplomas that allow you to lead, teach and supervise surfing activities for club members on a voluntary basis:
Brevet d'Animateur Fédéral de Surf (leadership and dissemination of activities offered within the club)
Brevet d'Initiateur Fédéral de Surf (initiation to club members)
Brevet d'Entraîneur Fédéral de Surf (training of federal club members)
