Management controller

Nature

The management controller also referred to as the planning and management controller ensures constant inspection of company budgets. He/she establishes budget predictions and puts into place inspection procedures. Finally, he/she provides assistance in all fields to enable an optimal use of all resources. Missions that management controllers are responsible for vary greatly depending on the size of the company. In small to mid size companies, management control is ensured in addition to other responsibilities such as accounting, finance, administration, personnel or IT management. In larger companies, the position tends to be more specialized.

Mission

Establishing budget predictions and development of necessary tools for result tracking (indicators, scorecards...)
Participating in the definition of objectives for commercial and other departments/services
Analyzing differences between predictions and real figures.
Suggesting solutions to various problems encountered.

Skills

Solid background in finance and accounting
Fluent English mandatory
A desire to make decisions, negotiate and take on responsibilities.
Organisation and analysis skills
Knowledge of economic environment and board sports markets

Access

The level of required training varies based on the size of each company. General management and economic degrees with a concentration in accounting are considered appropriate.
