A textile engineer is responsible for the development of innovative fabrics and textile materials adapted to the evolutions of the sport. The engineer will seek out the best fabrics, which enable clothing to be more comfortable, more resistant and more technical. Observation of the sport is a key element in textile innovation, which enables the engineer to improve performance. Textile engineers can be responsible for production management, quality inspections and laboratory testing. He/she is also responsible for managing a team and carrying out quality control inspections.
