The term "web design" refers to the discipline of structuring the graphic elements of a website in order to translate, through an aesthetic dimension, the visual identity of the brand. It is thus a stage of visual design, as opposed to functional design (ergonomics, navigation). The web designer designs the visual identity of websites and defines their graphic charter (layout, position of graphic elements, choice of images, colors, fonts, etc.). The objective of the web designer is to enhance the image of the company or organization through the graphic elements of the site to strengthen its visual identity and provide a sense of confidence to the user.
