EMOTIONS AND THE WORKPLACE: In our Western societies, we tend not to understand and manage human emotions. This tendency extends to other areas of life, including the workplace. We often leave our emotions at the door when we go to work, whereas if we learned to manage them better it would not only help the company, but also the employees to be happier and perform better at work.

BECOMING A GOOD LEADER: The aim of working on emotional intelligence in the workplace is to create happier managers who are better able to know and understand their teams, and to create better working conditions for team cohesion . Being an effective manager requires a good personal balance, in order to achieve greater "power", but also better interpersonal interactions with his or her team. A good understanding of emotions will enable him/her to decode those of others and thus prevent psycho-social risks.

IMPORTANCE OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE: Emotionalintelligence is more important than ever with globalization and the deployment of intercultural teams. We have become increasingly aware of the importance of physical and mental health. This increases the complexity of interactions, emotions and how they are expressed. Fundamentally, emotional intelligence at work is about understanding, expressing and maintaining good relationships, including problem-solving under pressure.
