The ski patroller has the role of snow firefighter, he is in charge of prevention and maintenance of the ski area. He must provide first aid to the injured, search for missing persons in avalanches and inform the public about the dangers of the mountain.

Access

The National Ski Patroller's License 1st degree, Nordic or Alpine option, is mandatory. You must be 18 years old to take the exam, hold the AFPS and the CFAPSE and have an excellent level of skiing. The 2nd degree can be passed after two seasons in function, to become a ski patroller. Finally, three years later, the competitive examination for master patroller gives the right to teach.
